The new building will be a contemporary facility aimed at the interests of the students to increase student satisfaction.

The Brief

​Manor Academy is funding a new facility to improve the quality of campus life and make it more teenager friendly. The new building will be on the site of the unused hard standing. The building will be visible from Park Hall Road and will be the first scene visitors to the school see. To attract students, the new building will have a cafe area resembling popular coffee shop brands to create a different environment from the school.

The Design

​The new building will be a contemporary facility aimed at the interests of the students to increase student satisfaction. The exterior comprises vertical timber fins and large glazing panels set against cream brickwork ensuring an appealing aesthetic for both students and staff, while increased amounts of natural light.

The café area will be a multi-purpose café and study space where students can grab refreshment, revise and socialise.

The building will accommodate two additional classrooms for basic teaching, meeting rooms and library spaces for students to study.

The Outcome

​Due to be completed in August 2025, the new building will be going in for planning at the end of February.
