The new building is designed as a contemporary facility tailored to student interests, with the goal of enhancing their overall satisfaction and engagement.

The Brief

Manor Academy is investing in a new facility to enhance campus life and create a more welcoming environment tailored to teenagers. The building will be constructed on a currently unused hardstanding area and prominently located to ensure high visibility from Park Hall Road, serving as a key focal point for visitors.

Designed to attract and engage students, the facility will feature a café space inspired by popular coffee shop brands, offering a distinct and contemporary atmosphere that sets it apart from traditional school environments.

The Design

The new facility is t designed to align with student interests, fostering satisfaction and engagement. The exterior showcases a modern aesthetic, with vertical timber fins and expansive glazing set against cream brickwork, creating an inviting and visually appealing structure that maximizes natural light.

Inside, the café area will double as a multi-functional space for studying, socialising, and refreshments, providing a dynamic environment to support student needs. The building will also house two classrooms, meeting rooms, and library spaces, ensuring ample provision for teaching, collaboration, and independent study.

The Outcome

​Due to be completed in August 2025, the new building has gone in for planning and we expect work on site to begin shortly.
