Recovery and Wellbeing Centre

The Archer Project

A new home in the heart of Sheffield to give individuals the opportunity to progress away from homelessness, towards living more meaningful and fulfilling lives.

The Archer Project provides vital support for people experiencing homelessness in Sheffield. The refurbishment and extension respond to the limitations of the existing building, creating a more welcoming, safe and functional environment for those accessing the centre’s services.

The scheme reconfigures and expands the existing centre to provide improved facilities including a larger dining hall, new reception and entrance, enhanced kitchen and servery areas, medical and office spaces, and upgraded washing and toilet facilities. External works create a new courtyard entrance and improved arrival sequence.

The design has been developed through ongoing engagement with the Archer Project team, staff and stakeholders to ensure the spaces respond to the day-to-day needs of the centre. Building on earlier feasibility work, the proposals refine the existing layout, improve wayfinding and spatial flow, and create a welcoming environment that supports the centre’s activities and services.
