Amy Paget

Senior Architectural Designer

Amy joined Race Cottam in 2015 and has been the concept designer for a number of projects across all sectors with a particular focus in education. Although trained in architecture, Amy is also the practice's Interior Design Lead.

She enjoys understanding a client’s brief and undertaking rigorous research and analysis throughout the design stages to ensure the projects she is involved with meet the high aspirations of its stakeholders.

She has a strong passion for design excellence and her graphical skills are exemplary; providing very strong images using a variety of media to convey the right message to support designs at all stages, especially during planning and Listed Building application stages.

Since joining Race Cottam she has shown a natural lean towards Interior Design and is Race Cottam’s Interior Design Lead ensuring architecture and interior design elements across all projects complement each other to deliver a truly holistic approach for clients. She is passionate that building environments are accessible and inclusive and is driven by how a building’s environment can positively affect a person’s experience and wellbeing.

Amy is a keen walker and Charleston dancer.  She enjoys anything 'crafty' from silversmithing to sewing and loves good old fashioned Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy films.

Her favourite building is the Phillips Exeter Academy Library by Louis Kahn and her dream commission would be to design a Maggie's Centre.
