As BD Director she is responsible for developing and driving the marketing strategy for Race Cottam Associates, maintaining relationships and the practice profile, as well as seeking new opportunities for the practice.
As school sector lead, Pauline maintains an involvement in projects, having worked on over 20 school projects; focusing on stakeholder engagement and in the provision of Technical Advisor services for the business. The TA role uses her extensive experience within the education sector, a sector which has been the focus of her project work over recent years.
Pauline has also been involved in a variety of projects within the Energy from Waste sector, from feasibility studies through to bids, working up to approval of planning applications. This sector involves a thorough understanding of the technical processes involved in the industry, and how the architecture can assist in the development of a practical and appropriate solution.
Pauline's strengths are her clear capabilities as a communicator and manager and she excels in stakeholder management.
Pauline is passionate about collaboration in construction and the benfits that teamwork can bring to a project. Shis is also driven by how good design can improve mental health and wellbeing.
Out of work, Pauline can be found on the Peaks either walking her Staffie Susie or running with her family..
Her favourite building is Castle Drogo by Lutyens. Pauline says she has been lucky enough to have designed her dream commissions; incorporating a slide in a new primary school interior and repurposing and renovating an existing building to create the UTC Leeds.
