East Midlands Institute of Technology (EMIoT) Loughborough College

A sustainable technology hub delivering future-ready skills through collaborative, low-energy design.

Project info

Appointed by Lindum Group, we delivered Loughborough College’s new EMIoT as a hub for engineering, manufacturing and digital learning. The three-storey facility delivers nine classrooms, four science laboratories, three offices and two open-plan collaboration spaces, creating a flexible and welcoming environment for students and industry partners.

The design combines a bold, contemporary identity with practical, high-performance learning spaces, helping the College expand its technical education offer. Sustainability was embedded throughout, with solar panels, enhanced insulation, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and heat pump technology reducing operational energy demand.
