Net zero carbon motor vehicle training facility

expansion creates modern learning spaces

for growing learner numbers.

Project info

We have partnered with The Sheffield College on several major capital projects over the past decade, including supporting successful T-Level funding ids. Building on this long-standing relationship, we designed a comprehensive redevelopment of the Olive Grove motor vehicle campus to accommodate rising learner numbers. The new development included a new two-storey extension to the Race Cottam designed Olive Grove Building providing additional classrooms, clean and dirty motor vehicle workshops, and an enhanced entrance that better showcases vocational learning.

Internal remodelling also improves student services, dining facilities and the LRC, creating more flexible

study spaces. The development achieved net zero carbon in operation through the use of a biosolar roof and air source heat pumps.
