Molly Neale
Part 1 Architectural Assistant
Molly joins us after graduating from the University of Sheffield in summer 2022 where she was also a student mentor. This followed her foundation degree from Loughborough University in Fine and Studio Arts. She has a keen interest in people and community driven projects.
Whist in her final year, Molly's dissertation focussed on what craft can teach us about designing for longevity. More precisely the craft of pottery, and for her final project Molly used this idea to design a retrofit art and pottery centre in Stoke-on-Trent. Aligned to her focus on social and sustainably driven projects, the design facilitated strong links with the community and ensured flexibility of space for future building use.
In her spare time, Molly loves to travel and explore new places, along with spending time with friends, and watching a good film! Molly is also a talented craft artist with an enthusiasm for weaving.
Molly’s current favourite building is the Whitworth art gallery in Manchester, and her dream commission would be to design a library.
