Jacob Peplow

Architectural Assistant

In the final year of his MArch at Sheffield Hallam University (RIBA Part 2), Jacob is in the early stage of his architectural career, but is already displaying strengths in graphic representation, production of drawing packages/ interior design schemes and developing awareness of the formal practice of architecture.

Since joining RCA in 2015, Jacob's experience lies largely in the Healthcare sector, working under varying frameworks (P21+, P22), but has had further experience in the Education and Commercial sectors.

Jacob is our in-house BREEAM  guru and is working towards becoming a BREEAM associate, championing the correct implementation of the assessment in practice. Jacob also has a keen eye and interest in interior design.

Out of work, Jacob and his partner Emily love to spend quality time with their young daughter Florence. When he gets a quiet moment from work, studying and parenting, Jacob likes to unwind sketching and reading.

His favourite buildings are the National Arts Schools in Cuba by Porro, Gottardi and Garatti and his dream commission would be to design a contemporary take on an established typography; a church or library.
