Professionally Donald’s interests include a mix of contemporary and modern architecture, and exploring the relationship between the historic elements of existing architecture and modern methods.

Donald’s experience covers a range of sectors, from large scale manufacturing facilities and site-wide industrial schemes, to large residential developments and bespoke new housing.  He has worked on projects exploring home adaptation for accessibility and future proofing for assisted care, and delivered both newbuild and renovation schemes.

Out of work, Donald enjoys spending time with his family and likes to stay active with outdoor sports including rugby, cycling and skiing.

His favourite building is the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, with it’s fountains included!

His dream commission would be to work on a large-scale exhibition space, and also a self-build project.
