Charlie Fletcher

Architectural Assistant

Charlie joined RCA as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant in April 2024 having graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First Class degree in Architecture where he received the Sikorski Memorial Award for outstanding interior design and was runner-up for the Liverpool Architectural Society Student Award.

Charlie joins us following a year working as an architectural assistant in London where he worked on projects such as a low-carbon residential project and the masterplan for the Kelham Island area of Sheffield.

Charlie is extremely interested in the role architecture can play in improving physical and mental well-being and how this can be applied in practice and design. Charlies designs aim to create spaces that focus on peoples experiences whilst being purposeful and functional.

Outside of work Charlie is a keen Sheffield Wednesday fan. He enjoys running and will often be found in the Peak District walking his dog as well as exploring with his camera.

Charlies favourite buildings include Maggie's Leeds Centre by Heatherwick studio and the Jewish Museum in Berlin by Daniel Libeskind.
